In-Between Kids is a youth group for students in 4th–6th grade, meeting every Sunday evening from 5 - 7 PM, with dinner provided. More than just another activity, In-Betweens is a place where students can have fun, build lasting friendships, and know they belong. We provide a safe and welcoming environment where kids are surrounded by positive peers and caring adult mentors who encourage, support, and walk alongside them during these important years of growth. As students begin discovering who they are, our goal is to help them develop an identity rooted in God's love rather than the pressures of the world.

At In-Between Kids, we are passionate about helping students make their faith their own. Through engaging Bible lessons, worship, games, discussion, and prayer, students learn how God's Word applies to the challenges they face every day. We encourage them to ask honest questions, grow in their understanding of Scripture, and develop personal prayer habits. By serving others and putting their faith into action, students discover what it means to follow Jesus with confidence, compassion, and purpose. 

In-Between Kids participates in a weekend called "Basics of Faith" each spring. This retreat teaches lessons taught in a traditional confirmation class setting. It's a great opportunity for our kids to learn about faith in a fun, new environment.

In-Between Kids are also invited to spend a week in the summer at Camp Wesley Pines in Hazlehurst , Mississippi. This is a traditional sleep-away church camp that is a favorite of many of our kids!

In-Between Kids meet in the Side by Side Room of Moore Hall at First Methodist Church Long Beach. Moore Hall is the building that faces the railroad tracks on its north side and the park on its east side. Enter the building through the double doors under the oak trees, facing the park. Pick up for In-Between Kids is in the Christian Life Center. Enter this building through the doors facing the west parking lot.
